Here’s how number masking works with CallHippo:
Step 1: Admin sets up user control
The admin decides which agents should have masked phone numbers. This is done by configuring the agents’ access rights in the CallHippo system.
Step 2: Call routed with masking
When a call is routed to an agent whose access rights have number masking enabled, the customer’s phone number is masked in the format 09xxxxxxxxxx98.
Step 3: Call connection established
The agent makes a call to the customer, but instead of viewing the whole number, they only see the masked version.
Step 4: Customer’s number secured
The masking ensures that the customer’s phone number is secure, protecting it from unauthorized access by the agent or anyone else. This helps in maintaining customer privacy and data security.
