What is Number Masking?
Number masking, also known as call masking, is used by businesses to ensure that the privacy of their customers is maintained by facilitating them to connect with the business executive without revealing their personal numbers. Implementing a number masking solution keeps all the transactions strictly concealed on the platform to control the communication and prevent any possible frauds.

How Does Number Masking Work?
Once you are logged in to your CallHippo Web App, you will see the Number Masking in the settings option on the left-side panel. As number masking is an add-on feature, it can be enabled only through the admin account.

After number masking is activated, the admin can assign the agent’s name to whom number masking should be implemented. For example, Agent XYZ has been assigned with the number masking feature, then all the contacts in that particular agent’s dashboard will be masked in this manner 98xxxxxx08. He/she will not be able to view the contact number of the customer in any of the dashboards such as outgoing or incoming calls, call logs, saved contacts.
